Hello! St. Patrick’s day is just around the corner, so I thought I’d share this Holy Trinity Shamrock craft with you. I wanted a good visual that would help my kids understand why St. Patrick used the shamrock to teach about the Holy Trinity.
Here’s what I came up with:
First, I printed the page on cardstock and cut out the circles. On St. Patrick’s day, I’ll help Junior put glue on the shamrock with a glue stick and then place the circles on the shamrock. We’ll practice saying “God the Father”, “God the Son”, and “God the Holy Spirit” as we put the circles on the shamrock. We’ll also practice making the Sign of the Cross.


My daughter loves to color. So I made a version for her to color, cut, and paste:


The images on this craft come from the mosaic on the Trinity Dome at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Next time we go there, we’ll definitely be on the look out for it!
